♦ REFLECTION & EXPLANATION ♦
This hadith is very easy to follow with those you love and benefit from. The real test is to implement this hadith with the ones who have wronged you, crushed you, broken your trust, and slandered you. This beautiful hadith is the ultimate test of humility and a small taste or glance of the scenario on the Day of Judgment.
On the day of judgment you will be standing infront of Allah full of sins and having wronged, rejected and blatantly crossed over so many of His commandments. You would definitely want Allah to show mercy to you, right? So what’s the point I am trying to make here? The point is we all know we are sinners and we all know that the progeny of adam will err and fall into sin. Just like you have wronged others (we don’t usually see this part), someone had wronged you. Just like you would like Allah and the other person to forgive you and show you mercy, you need to show mercy to the one who has wronged you.
May Allah bless our hearts with mercy and instill in all of us the trait of forgiveness for His sake.
